A WORLD WITHOUT LETTERS

We all use apps like Whatsapp to communicate with others and very rarely write letters. How does this affect our future?

Many years ago people could only keep in touch through letters, which sometimes had an unbelievable number of pages. Nowadays it`s normal to send just a short message, because with our mobile phone we are able to connect with people all around the world in just a few seconds. This could be seen as a positive fact, because its very easy and quick unlike letters made of paper. But we shouldn`t forget the dark side of digitalisation. If we comunicate with short messages instead of detailed letters, our vocabulary will get lost someday. In addition, many people write for example a Whatsapp message without any punctuation which leads to big difficulties with grammar. Furthermore, in the past, every single letter was valued, while today short messages are taken as granted. We should keep on writting letters, otherwise our kids and the generations after them will not know what it is! And someday we will communicate only per social media etc. The possibilities with digital devices are great, but we shouldn´t forget that there is a real life and that we are able to write letters with a pen and a peace of paper.
